2017 H1B LCA Wage Level RFE

There are numerous qualifications that must be met in to avoid receiving an H1B LCA Wage Level RFE.  These are the four major components necessary: The H1B employee’s wages must correspond with the guidelines outlined in the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Outlook Handbook. The H1B employee’s wages must be in the same range as other US companies of approximately the same size. The H1B employee’s wages must be compatible in comparison with the same job within the industry. One of the most common RFEs received each year is the Specialty Occupation RFE.  Last year was no different except for the monumental number of them dealing with wage level issues.  The most concerning pertained to Business analysts and computer systems analysts making level 1 wages.  This issue exists across the board and affects all fields of H1B employment. Obtaining that dream job

As an applicate in today’s job market, you need to be prepared to answer two questions according to your situation. 1. Does your education qualify you for the position? 2. Do you have the technical skills to perform the duties that your LCA approved job title and classification require? In today’s competitive marketplace a simple yes is not a sufficient answer. When the interviewer inquires why you believe you qualify, they want you to explain precisely how your skills and experience match the job description specifications. This is not a time to be vague and unprepared; you’re answer should be well thought out, specific and concise. Your answer will accomplish two things for the interviewer: 1. Allow the interviewer to gauge how well your skills [...]

Quality Information Systems (web or software applications) are the backbone of most business operations today (whether client-facing or internal), yet, according to Research studies “one-third of business stakeholders are dissatisfied with the quality of their current information systems.”

A poorly integrated and tested information system severely effects on an organization’s clients, sales, partnerships, employees and financial bottom line.

Security, cloud computing, virtualization, service-oriented architectures, mobile deployments, and ever-changing compliance requirements all strain the performance of information systems and the abilities of IT department or team.
